A 16-year-old girl, reported missing for approximately one month from Colerain Township, Ohio, was safely located and rescued on Friday in Florida following an intensive multistate investigation involving federal and local law enforcement agencies. Authorities subsequently arrested a Tennessee man, identified as Negron, who is a suspect in the case and had been previously linked to another alleged kidnapping incident.
The teen, identified as Madison, had been reported missing on February 16. The extensive search operation involved a collaborative effort between various Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) field offices, including Cincinnati, Nashville, and Jacksonville, alongside local police departments and the FBI's elite Hostage Rescue Team (HRT). This interagency cooperation was crucial in tracing the suspect's movements and ensuring the safe recovery of the minor.
The investigation gained momentum when law enforcement executed a search warrant at Negron's residence in Tennessee. Upon discovering that the suspect had already fled, investigators were able to trace his movements to Florida. His vehicle was ultimately located in Palatka, Florida, leading authorities to a nearby hotel room where Madison was safely found.

"This case is the best of the FBI working with our great local partners: Acting quickly, using elite technology capabilities, and deploying the best tactical units to find the alleged kidnapper and very likely save a young girl’s life," Patel stated.

Federal officials also noted his alleged involvement in a separate 2024 case in Texas, where he was accused of transporting a 17-year-old for sexual activity. "We have our own kids. And when we see something like this happen, our immediate thought is that this could be our child."
