In the normally quiet town of Enumclaw, Washington, a disturbing incident unfolded at the local high school that has left the community on edge. At 9:56 pm on Saturday, May 31, three masked juveniles, armed with what seemed to be weapons, broke into Enumclaw High School. The emergency call was swiftly met with a police response, arriving on-site within minutes, causing the intruders to flee by 10:04 pm.
The break-in was no ordinary act of juvenile delinquency. Enumclaw Police Chief Tim Floyd, with 28 years of experience, noticed something different about this event. "In my 28 years, I've seen a lot of break-ins at schools, right? And every single one of them involves theft or damage. That didn't happen here at all," Floyd remarked to KIRO 7. The absence of theft or vandalism during the intrusion was particularly unusual, as break-ins typically result in such activities.
Surveillance footage from the high school offered a chilling insight into the suspects' actions. The video showed one juvenile filming the event while another navigated the hallways with an object resembling a handgun.
