The President's remarks came amid accusations that Democrats desire to reallocate "Trillions of Dollars" from the healthcare system to individuals they deem "not deserving," including undocumented immigrants, which he associated with prisons and mental institutions. President Trump reassured his party would not allow such reallocation and insisted on the immediate removal of the filibuster.
The call to action was juxtaposed with the President and First Lady Melania Trump's participation in a Halloween event at the White House, which contrasted the gravity of the shutdown concerns.
