A declassified House Intelligence Committee report has brought to light that Russian intelligence gathered potentially damaging information about former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s health during the 2016 presidential campaign. The report, made public by current Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on Wednesday, indicates that the SVR, Russia’s foreign intelligence service, had evidence suggesting Clinton was battling “psycho-emotional problems” treated with strong sedatives.
The report, based on 20 interviews with intelligence officers and FBI agents, as well as source material from a 2017 report initiated by former President Barack Obama, claims that Clinton was placed on a daily regimen of “heavy tranquilizers.” According to the Conservative Brief, these medications were used to manage uncontrolled fits of anger, aggression, and cheerfulness, as indicated by Democratic National Committee communications in the possession of the SVR.
Despite the alleged health concerns, the report notes that Clinton remained focused on her presidential aspirations, described as being “obsessed with a thirst for power.” In September 2016, President Obama and Democratic Party leaders reportedly found Clinton’s health “extraordinarily alarming,” fearing it could jeopardize her chances against Donald Trump. At 77, Clinton was said to suffer from a range of health issues, including Type 2 diabetes, ischemic heart disease, deep vein thrombosis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, with her advisers maintaining the "strictest secrecy" around the full details of her condition.
Furthermore, the SVR reportedly had in its possession a campaign email discussing a plan approved by Clinton to draw connections between Putin, Russian hackers, and Trump as a strategy to divert attention from her email server scandal. Echoing Gabbard’s findings, Senator Roger Marshall (R-KS) claimed on Thursday that Clinton was taking tranquilizers while in office.
Gabbard’s statement also shed light on documents that suggest the Obama administration orchestrated a “coup” against then-President-elect Donald Trump by pushing the narrative of collusion between Russia and Trump to influence the election outcome. She underscored that Russia had the damaging material against Clinton but chose not to disclose it.
In the wake of these revelations, the U.S. Department of Justice has formed a “strike force” to investigate the evidence declassified by Gabbard regarding the alleged involvement of the Obama administration in fabricating the Trump-Russia collusion narrative. A DOJ source informed Fox News Digital that all leads are under review, and the National Security Division is expected to play a role in the probe. Justice officials have emphasized that they take the alleged weaponization of intelligence by the Obama administration “with the utmost seriousness.”
