The couple was found dead from gunshot wounds in their home on February 20. Months later, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Patrick, who was 16 at the time of the alleged crime, surrendered to police following the issuance of an arrest warrant.
The case has sent shockwaves through the local community, located approximately 45 miles west of Atlanta. Authorities have pointed to a wealth of physical and digital evidence that led to the teenager's arrest, including her own emotional eulogy at the funeral service of her deceased parents. Relatives of the victims have since released footage of the eulogy, which had initially been perceived as a grief-stricken tribute.
Social media activity by Patrick in the aftermath of the murders has also come under scrutiny. She allegedly tried to mask her involvement by posting videos on TikTok, expressing her sorrow and even reaching out to true crime enthusiasts for help in solving the case. However, her actions raised suspicions among family members, including James Brock’s niece, Krysten Dowda, who remarked on Patrick's "fake crying" at the funeral.
